Why Volunteer?
Fire and emergency medical services are provided to Fairfield and Mt. Hope by a group of dedicated volunteers who want to make sure our community continues to be a safe place to live. The only way we can make sure those services are available is if we have members of the community step up to help out
What Does A Volunteer Do?
There are four types of volunteer roles in District 2:
- Support Volunteers assist in a variety of roles including driving apparatus and our ambulance, helping manage equipment at incidents, performing maintenance tasks, manage helicopter landing zones and assisting EMTs in monitoring firefighter welfare during incidents.
- Wildland Firefighters
- Structure Firefighters
- Emergency Medical Technicians are certified by the State of Washington to provide emergency medical care and transport patients to the hospital.
